Hey there! If you don’t follow me on tumblr or twitter, you may have missed my reasoning for the serious lapse in updates!
At the beginning of this month, I went to the hospital for what I thought was appendicitis, but a CT scan revealed a mass on my right kidney. Doctors found that I had renal cell carcinoma, a form of kidney cancer, that had already spread to some of the surrounding lymph nodes. It just so happened that there was a surgery opening for the following week, and I had my kidney and the affected lymph nodes removed on October 19th. I was in the hospital from the 19th through the 27th, and now I’m home! I still have a lot of recovering to do, so updates will be on an indefinite pause until then.
